Production designer Polly Platt was Peter Bogdanovich's wife at the time. The book "Easy Riders, Raging Bulls" details the love triangle that developed between her, Bogdanovich, and Cybill Shepherd. It was also fictionalized in Vertenza inconciliabile (1984).
