The chiffon dress that Rose wears when the ship sinks proved very difficult for Kate Winslet to run and swim in, as the fabric would bunch up and wrap around her legs, tripping her up. James Cameron eventually got some scissors and cut away the lower layers, leaving just the top of the dress and the bloomers underneath. Winslet referred to it as her 'Bo-Peep dress' and said that Leonardo DiCaprio found it highly amusing.
