During the final duel between Sephiroth and Cloud, a variation of the final boss battle music (One Winged Angel) from Final Fantasy VII plays. At one point of the duel, around where Sephiroth cleaves the Shinra Corporation building in half, the choir in the music piece says a Latin phrase that sounds very much like a line from Faust: 'By the Power of Truth, I while Living, have conquered the Known Universe', which in Latin is spoke 'Vi Veri Vivernium Vicis Vici.' This is also a line from the movie V for Vendetta (and its earlier graphic novel) but also essentially is a summarizing of Sephiroth's plan in the original game to become a God by fusing with the planet and the Lifestream.
