The Scene where Rick (Humphrey Bogart) and French Captain Louis Renault (Claude Rains) watch the plane fly off was shot at Van Nuys Airport.Some twelve-years earlier, Amelia Earhart flew out of Van Nuys Airport setting a World Speed Record of 184 miles/hour in her Lockheed Vega.
