This film marks the first time that Matthias Schoenaerts plays a Belgian character in a non-Belgian and non-French film and also in an English-language film. The last time that he had played a Belgian character prior to this film was in the French film Un sapore di ruggine e ossa (2012). In the meantime, Schoenaerts played American, British, German, French and Danish characters.
