Seth Rogen and Jim Cummings, who voiced Captains in separate movies of the Shrek franchise (Cummings in Shrek (2001) and Rogen in this movie), also appeared in an iteration of The Lion King. Cummings was in Il Re Leone (1994) as Ed, and Rogen was in Il re Leone (2019) as Pumbaa.
