The scene with one of the robbers' bodies is lying on the ground and curious kids walking by is a staple of Sam Peckinpah; other examples are the kids messing with the scorpions in Il mucchio selvaggio (1969), playing the maze game in Cane di paglia (1971), watching James Caan training in Killer Elite (1975).
