This movie came in a week over schedule and $1 million over budget, the same amount that Bugsy Siegel proposed to Meyer Lansky and his other associates for building the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. Like this movie, the Flamingo ended up going over budget on construction costs, by about $5 million.
