The raptors in the first Jurassic Park (1993) were controlled by cables and radio signals. The raptors from Il mondo perduto - Jurassic Park (1997) used radio-controlled components and hydraulics. In this film, the effects team were able to fit an entire hydraulic package inside the raptors themselves to achieve a self-contained hydraulic character.
