Madhavan is shown wearing a knee bandage in the whole first part of the movie. It was due to a real life accident to his knee which he acquired while playing badminton following Aamir's steps to loose weight. Aamir suggested Hirani to introduce similar incident in the script too and shooting continued with Madhavan having the real bandage ON.
