This is TV director Jason Winer's first feature film and he was incredibly nervous about meeting with Helen Mirren to take on the John Gielgud role. He needn't have been. One of the first things that Mirren said to him when they met was that she was a huge fan of Modern Family (2009) which Winer had worked on.
