The first section of the movie serves as a prequel to Justice League: War (2014) as it shows Diana meeting Steve Trevor and leaving Themyscira. The rest of the movie takes place later in the DCAMU timeline following Diana and Superman's breakup as well as the death and resurrection of Superman.
