When the Minions come ashore in New York City, the ship in the background is the S.S. France, an ocean liner which was later purchased by Norwegian Cruise Lines and renamed the S.S. Norway. In its later life, following a boiler explosion, the S.S. Norway was scrapped off the coast of India.
