The mystical cyan and ruby taekwondo doboks (gis) that Billy and Jimmy gradually wear during their showdown with Shuko, bares a resemblance to the doboks worn by Billy and Jimmy on the Sega Master System cover-art of Double Dragon in both the USA and Europe releases, the only thing omitted were their white hachimakis (headbands). In their original Japanese incarnations from creator Yoshihisa Kishimoto, both Lee brothers were actually twins who have spiked hair (Billy being blonde, and Jimmy being auburn) and wore normal street clothes that are blue and red, they look heavily influenced off of Walter Hill's The Warriors (1979), as well as the manga/anime series Fist of the North Star (1984-1987).
