It was considered that the film could be a possible influence behind the TV episode Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Blood Oath (1994) and its plot and that the TV episode bore some similarities to this film. It was about Jadzia Dax, who joins the Klingon warriors Kor, Koloth and Kang as they set out to get their revenge on the space pirate the Albinio, who wronged them 81 years earlier. This film is about three martial arts warriors, joined by a fourth, who seek revenge upon a warlord and his son who wronged them and left them crippled. The only difference is that in this film, only one of them dies and in the TV episode, two of them die.
