The code name for the military's cover up is "Operation Walking Distance". In the Twilight Zone episode of Ai confini della realtà: Walking Distance (1959), a dissatisfied man returns to his hometown and finds himself as a young boy, essentially reliving his childhood and a happier way of life. Director J.J. Abrams revisits his childhood with this film, echoing one of his favorite episodes of the TV series.
