There has been a lot of talk about a deleted scene, in which Argyle (the limo driver) veered into the building in search for John McClane. The reason why there have been so many rumors, that a specific Argyle scene was deleted, was because of the fact that McClane, in a scene in which Takagi gets shot through the head, says "Argyle, I hope you heard the shots". But McClane was on the thirtieth floor when Takagi got shot. Argyle could have never heard those shots, when he was in the garage at ground level. The only reason why McClane could have made such a statement is because there was an alternate scene in which Argyle came to the rescue on the thirtieth floor. There is proof to back this rumor. John McTiernan stated in an interview that Argyle was given a bigger role at first, but that they had to delete it, because of certain (non specified) plot complications if Argyle's role would have been bigger.
