John Huston often told derogatory stories about Ray Bradbury, the screenwriter, laughingly saying that he was afraid of flying in airplanes (despite his fame as an author of stories about journeys to other planets and so forth), and even frightened to death by being in a moving car, even one going at only a 20 m.p.h. speed. Bradbury, in turn, was very cutting about Huston, saying (after Huston's death) that he was a bully obsessed with playing elaborate mind games with his writers.
