In September 2017, it was announced online that James Cameron would return to the Terminator franchise and produce the sixth Terminator film Terminator - Destino oscuro (2019), which was to be the final film of the Terminator franchise. Deadpool (2016) director Tim Miller was hired to direct. Arnold Schwarzenegger (who turned 70 on July 31, 2017) came back and play the Terminator one last time, and Linda Hamilton was also confirmed to appear. Emilia Clarke announced that she would not play Sarah Connor again. The younger version of Sarah Connor indeed appeared in the sixth film, but through digital de-aging.
