While most of the secondary characters speak the fictional Timokan language Gun Grut invented for the film, the leader of the dwarf circus troupe speaks Spanish when he breaks up the party with Johan. In keeping with the film's theme of the inability to communicate, his dialogue isn't subtitled, but he says "What is it in here, a mad house?"
