In January 2013, Aaron McGruder launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a live-action spin-off film starring Gary Anthony Williams as Uncle Ruckus. The goal was two hundred thousand dollars, but the campaign fell short. Ultimately, the project never got off the ground.
