The movie was originally scheduled to debut in Easter 1977, but due to required re-shoots and additional photography, the picture's premiere season release date was delayed for around a year, until Easter 1978. This change in release schedule was reported in the 28th April 1977 edition of show-business trade paper "Daily Variety'.
