In the flashback scene where Madame Madame (Nicole de Boer) remembers her mother Michelle (Claire Brosseau), most of Michelle's lecture is in French, but was scripted in English. For one take, the actress spoke most of her lines in French, and that's the one that ended up in the film. The line "And work on your goddamn accent!" was always in English.
