Stan Winston built a copy of Arnold Schwarzenegger's head and torso so squibs could be used on the head region and people would see the Terminator shot in the head. It was also used so the T-1000 could smash his head without injuring Arnold. The dummy walked awkwardly, so Arnold matched his walk to the dummy's to make the difference less obvious.
