In this movie, Bolivar Trask is Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security. In the comics, he was a scientist and Agent responsible for creating the Sentinel robots. Against continuity, his character appeared again, this time played by Peter Dinklage, in X-Men - Giorni di un futuro passato (2014), which takes place in the 1970s.
