At the start of the movie, Cagney works as an usher at the Strand Theatre. There were two Strands in New York City at the time, one in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan, that would both show Cagney films. The Strand in "Lady Killer" posing as a New York City Strand was actually the one in Los Angeles, where the movie was filmed.
