Spyros reads about the robbery in the Seven Star edition of the Los Angeles Chronicle. The same edition of the Chronicle shows up frequently in Perry Mason (1957), starring Raymond Burr. And Richard Conte was a columnist for the Los Angeles Chronicle trying to solve the murder of a photographer and artist, played by Raymond Burr, in Gardenia blu (1953).
