The filmmakers shot an Outworld location and fight at Black Hill Quarry, a black granite quarry in the town of Black Hill, 112 kilometers from Adelaide. Simon McQuoid observed: "No one wants to go and shoot in the bottom of a disused coal mine, but when you go down there with these beautiful Ultra Vista lenses we were shooting with, and you have these incredible actors in their costumes, you put them in this implausible location and all of a sudden it becomes another world."
