A year before the film's release: X-Men - Giorni di un futuro passato (2014) the 7th X-Men film was released. In the film, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) travels back 50 years in time as he and a young Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) set out to stop Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) from assassinating Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) whom created the Sentinel robots that took over the world 50 years in the future. The film's plot had many comparisons to The Terminator.
