Neerupa Menon a mutual friend of director Siddique and Alvira Khan introduced him to Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan.Siddique sent his original Malyalam version to Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan who convinced Salman Khan to watch the film.Salman Khan agreed to do the film after watching it and Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Khan turned producers.
