Despite being commercially successful (even beating out its budget), the film's box office performance was still extremely disappointing for Disney, as the film didn't make as much as Walt Becker's previous film Svalvolati on the road (2007), nor did it make anywhere near as much as John Travolta's previous Disney film Bolt - Un eroe a quattro zampe (2008), mainly due to atrocious reviews, and due to being given too small of a promotion to stand out in the crowded Thanksgiving season.
