The digital video release in the USA was initially set for March 17, 2020, until Disney unexpectedly decided to move the release forward to March 14. The decision was made because of the Coronavirus crisis, a time when millions of people were staying in their homes. According to Disney, they wanted to surprise families "with some fun and joy during this challenging period".
