According to Kane Hodder, C.J. Graham, who played Jason in Venerdì 13: parte VI - Jason vive (1986), had a chance to reprise his role for this film after his agent suggested it to him. He declined the chance, as he was good friends with Kane Hodder, and felt the film's producers were treating him unfairly by re-casting the character.
