In the movie, It Is implied that this is the first time that Diabolik and Ginko come face ti face. In the original comic, they had already crossed paths, and just as in the end of the movie, Ginko manages to shoot Diabolik, although he doesn't realize It. It happened before Eva's introduction, and she was not there to help his lover as in the movie
