The Russo Brothers thought of making 2014 Thanos massacre all the Avengers in another timeline and decapitate Captain America, then bring his decapitated head In the original timeline to taunt the Avengers. However, the thought was considered too violent and was ultimately dropped. Marvel faced a similar issue with the death scene of Phil Coulson in The Avengers (2012).
