Jack Lemmon suffered hell riding horses which he was not prepared for. He bled much from his rear and nearly needed to be sent to a hospital. The crew put booze on his split ski. He later said that he would have killed Glenn Ford with his bare hands, because the latest told him before the shooting that everything would be OK for Lemmon.
