The ending scene is an homage to Sixteen Candles - Un compleanno da ricordare (1984) with Johnson's character wearing nearly the same outfit as the character Jake Ryan Michael Schoeffling in the movie, one hand in pocket, other hand waving hello, and leaning against a red vehicle.
