Some of the firearms used by the Uganda troops include weapons from WWII Germany. In the Uganda hospital, a guard is using a Mp-40 submachine gun while interrogating a prisoner. When the truck is stopped at a checkpoint, one soldier has an MG-34. Later, Peter uses a Luger 9mm. This isn't farfetched to find these weapons in that part of the world. During the Cold War, the Soviet Union supplied Uganda, and many other African nations, with outdated or surplus materiel in order to spread Communism, including weapons seized from Germany. They also supplied Uganda with tanks and aircraft.
