The film was originally scheduled to be appropriately released on Halloween of 2009 to capitalize on the holiday, before the film was abruptly pushed forward two months ahead of time in August for the theatrical release. This compromised the post-production schedule, as it slashed a few weeks out of the editor's schedule, not giving them enough time to edit the film properly for a release.
