The movie credits acknowledge the 1954 version by Huxley and the 1982 version by his wife Laura Archera Huxley. The book has 3 eyes arranged vertically, with different images in the center circles, perhaps chosen because they are reminders of the 3 Sanctum Sanctorums of New York, London, and Hong Kong.
