Mads Mikkelsen played the title character on Hannibal (2013), making him the fifth actor from the Hannibal Lecter franchise to also appear in the Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts franchise. The previous movies featured Rhys Ifans (Xenophilius Lovegood), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) and Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort). Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) was also in NBC's Hannibal, appearing as a neurotic patient of Mikkelson's Hannibal Lecter.
