In Norse mythology Thor fights Jörmungandr (the world serpent) during Ragnarok. 'Jörmungandr' translates into English as 'huge monster.' When Ragnarok finally occurs in the movie and Thor tells Hulk to stop fighting Surtur, Hulk looks incredulous and states 'Big monster!!!'
