Much like most other Japanese fantasy films of the time, this movie was also given a bizarre new title when released in West Germany. The title was changed to "UFOs Destroy Earth" ("Ufos zerstören die Erde"), despite that the film features no UFOs, nor is the Earth destroyed. The new title was meant to cash in on the popular TV series UFO (1970).
