The injection into the eye shot seen at the start of the film was a CGI shot which was used after an attempt with the use a dummy eye failed. Such a type of scene had previously featured in 'Dead Kids' (1981) (aka 'Strange Behavior') which was also produced by this movie's producer Antony I. Ginnane.
