(at around 58 mins) In the Jeopardy! (1984) sequence, the second player seen is Jim Scott, a five-time Jeopardy! Champion, who won his fifth game on the October 1, 1990 broadcast. He went on to win the Tournament of Champions contest that season. The segment shown in the movie is from his Tournament of Champions semifinal, broadcast on November 11, 1991. Curiously, this would either set that hotel scene in 1991 onwards, meaning they're watching a re-run in a loop version of 1993, or that its an "alternate" parallel version of 1993.
