Loosely based around the manga Tomie Chapter 5:Revenge. The story for the manga is based around a crew of hikers, Doi, Hamaguchi, and Tanimora who is looking for his missing brother Tetsuo on a frozen mountainside. In the movie, Doi, Hamagachi, and Tetsuo were on the cliff with Tomi and Tanimora looks for his brother alone before the events of the film. The cannibal scene takes place in both, though in the frozen mountain setting of the manga it seems to make more sense.
