When the concept of the movie was first presented to him, director 'Toppel Lee' was hesitant to accept since there was already an earlier movie made based on the game (Spirit of the Glass (2004) by Jose Javier Reyes) which he described as well-made. So instead of focusing on the game, they decided to focus on the characters being haunted by a ghost.
