Was filmed from July to August of 2011, and was originally scheduled for a release date of October of 2012. But due to competition like Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (2012), Argo (2012), Sinister (2012), Paranormal Activity 4 (2012) and Taken - La vendetta (2012), the film got shelved by Lionsgate and was eventually released into theaters in January of 2013.
