The character Thanos the Mad Titan smiles during the credits at the phrase "To court death." There are many Greek words for death, one of them being Thanatos. Thanos's original plan for the Infinity Stones in the comics was to impress the goddess of Death by wiping out half the galaxy's population. This was the plan for his film adaptation as well, until the script for Avengers: Infinity War (2018) was written.
