According to film editor Claudine Bouché, Serge Gainsbourg was approached to score the film but declined after seeing a print, claiming, even though he found Sylvia Kristel quite beautiful, he never was really aroused by her. He would eventually score the second sequel to this film 'Goodbye Emmanuelle' (1977).
